How does the VITAdLS Gateway work with iHealth medical devices?

Once plugged in, the VITAdLS Gateway automatically connects to the iHealth medical devices available for order here. The Gateway eliminates the need for connecting devices to the iHealth app, thereby streamlining the health monitoring process.

Is the VITAdLS Gateway compatible with all iHealth devices?

The VITAdLS Gateway is compatible with all devices available on our site. There are variations of the iHealth medical devices available elsewhere, but the versions available here will automatically connect with the Gateway.

How can I also get a glucometer that works with the VITAdLS Gateway?

The VITAdLS Gateway is also compatible with iHealth's blood glucometer, available here. We do not currently stock the blood glucometer because of the ongoing need for related supplies (e.g., test strips). If you order the glucometer and associated supplies using the above link, the device will connect to the Gateway and does not require use of the iHealth app.

Do I need a VITAdLS Gateway to go along with each medical device?

No, you only need one VITAdLS Gateway. It will connect to multiple devices.

Can more than 1 person use the VITAdLS Gateway and iHealth medical devices to monitor their vitals?

People in the same household can share a Gateway. It connects multiple devices at once.

However, each person wishing to monitor their vitals needs their own medical devices and accompanying VITAdLS Subscription. This ensures all measurement data (e.g., blood pressure readings, oxygen level, etc.) is kept separate between the multiple individuals.

For example, a husband and wife could share a Gateway but would each need their own devices and subscription to record their respective vital measurements.

The iHealth device instruction booklet says to download the iHealth app. Do I need the app?

No. The VITAdLS Gateway eliminates the need for the iHealth app. Rather than having to connect each medical device to the iHealth app, the Gateway automatically connects to your devices. All vital measurements taken will be automatically uploaded to your VITAdLS account in minutes.

How do I properly take my vital measurements using the medical devices?

Please refer to the instruction booklets included with each iHealth medical device for guidance on how to correctly take your vital measurements. Remember to disregard the instruction to upload measurements to the iHealth app, as the VITAdLS Gateway eliminates the need for this extra step.

Do I need to create a VITAdLS account to access my vital measurement data?

A VITAdLS account is automatically created when your order ships. Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with a temporary account password. You may change this in "Settings" when you log into your VITAdLS account for the first time. Your account username will be your email address.

Where do I access my VITAdLS account?

You can log into your VITAdLS account to access all vital measurements by selecting the "User Login" tab from the main menu. For more information on your VITAdLS account, see our User Guide.

How do I access my user account/vital measurements on my phone?

For easiest access, we recommend saving the online account login page to your phone's home screen.

For iPhones:

- At the bottom of the Safari browser, click the share icon (box with an up arrow)

- From the list of share options, select Add to Home Screen

- Name your new icon and click Add. The icon should appear on your home screen.

For Android:

- Open the online account login page in Chrome

- Tap the menu icon (3 dots in the upper right-hand corner) and select Add to Home Screen

- Name your website shortcut, and Chrome will add it to your home screen

What is my account username and password when I first sign up with VITAdLS?

Your account username is the email address you used when you made your purchase. A temporary password is sent to that email address, which you should use to log into your account for the first time. After this, you may choose to change your password in "Settings."

How do I change my user account password?

Initially, you will log into your new user account using the temporary password sent to your email. Then, go to "Settings" to change your password.

What if vital measurements are not showing up in my user account?

  • Make sure the VITAdLS Gateway is plugged in. You should see a green light that flashes red every 3 seconds.
  • Make sure the medical devices are within 30 feet of the Gateway. If they already are, try moving the devices closer to the Gateway.
  • There might be a problem with the cellular connection. Try moving the VITAdLS Gateway and medical devices to a different location in the home.
